Lynn M. Harter is the Steven and Barbara Schoonover Professor of Health Communication in the School of Communication Studies at Ohio University. It is a good book. It is an old version but it worked for the Speech Communication class that I was in. I earned an A. I kept the book as a part of my library because it can be useful for speech writing, how to approach an audience, research tips, etc. I think it may have cost $10.00 and only because I wanted it during that week. It may have been $3.00 otherwise.

The book makes some useful speech points, but most of it is clear common sense, even the professor admits it lacks a lot and is really a primer for objective thought, and in that sense it does its job. It also has inappropriate political undertones, so take everything it says about social context with a grain of salt.

The book; Human Communications, was on this website. It had a small description and a rating for quality of condition of the book. I ordered it and waitied the standard set of shipping time. Upon recievall, the book was actually in better shape than the post claimed. The only thing the poster should have noted was that the previous owner had underlined and highlighted throughout many of the pages. Nonetheless, that makes no matter to me, as I would have done the same. I'm very happy with my purchase
